My name is Nia Nicole. I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer living in Kansas with my former NFL hubby Ben and four kids, Nashia, Nalani, Nicholas, and Landon. I’ve grown to enjoy fitness and all of the positive outcomes that come along with it. Working out, getting my heart rate up there, and sweating are just a few of my favorite things.
I began my fitness journey back in 2016 when I was first diagnosed with pre diabetes. I ballooned to a very unhealthy 225 pounds on my 5 foot, 3 inch frame while pregnant with my sweet baby boy Nicholas. Hearing that diagnosis was the kick in the butt that I needed to get on track with my nutrition and exercise in order to lose the baby weight and get my A1C levels back to normal.
Starting this blog is my little way of sharing my journey with the hopes that I provide encouragement to anyone who has a rough time getting moving and staying motivated. I’m right there with you! I still haven’t met all my fitness goals but I’m determined and hopefully you guys can help hold me accountable as well. Throughout my journey so far, I’ve noticed that fitness is as much a mental and emotion experience, as it is a physical one. If you train the mind, everything else will follow.
